I purchased this to use in the garden and was quite impressed when it arrived. This is no cheap, tin weathervane! The quality of the material is superb, and has a beautiful textured copper finish. Very heavy and substantial, with a good working ball bearing for smooth turning. I tried mounting mine on a pole at first, but these weathervanes really do require a perfect balance to function properly. It will come with a roof mount bracket, which I highly recommend using. I moved the location to another area where I could use the bracket and it works much better. I bought the wolf, which was awesome and my favorite, but Swen also offers a ton of other options for the top figure. You won't go wrong purchasing from this company. They make a great product. Love it!
