This whirligig is very cute and a well-designed dachshund item. It spins very easily in the small wind. The main body is nylon bonded to thin, clear plastic so mine arrived with a rumpled nose. I did not feel it was worth returning it. The spinning assembly and pole are petite and only suitable for a flower pot installation, not freestanding (unless you attach it to a sturdier pole). A small amount of assembly was necessary that required good eyes and tiny fingers. All in all, however, this will get compliments or be a good gift for a dachshund owner. Price was OK; I would never pay the retail listed.
