I received one of these and the colorful butterfly. Both are cute but very difficult to put wings on. Sticks are too short and they need a better anchor. The wind tends to blow them over too easily.

This wind spinner motor seems to work well. I haven't used it much yet, so I can't comment on the durability of the item. The cord is approximately 48" long and the on/off switch is quite close to the motor itself. Since this is going up somewhere high, I can not reach the switch and the cord is too short. I have added a switch to a different extension cord and am using this in conjunction with the motor and cord assembly. Problem solved.

It seemed a little stiff after setting it up. Sprayed it with a clear finish to protect and keep from rusting in the ocean air. We have pretty good wind. The pole that comes with the product is a little short but pretty easy to get it up higher to catch more wind in a fenced back yard. I will continue to spray with lubricant to protect from salty air. The item is on sale on vendor's website at same price as on Amazon @ $29.99. Normal vendor price is $39.99 which seems a bit high.
