After the mixed reviews about some of the Balancing Buddies here, I hesitated about getting this but I'm very glad I did! This adds a lovely touch of unexpected whimsy to our yard. Putting it together was very easy - no tools needed! Close up the different colors of paint do look uneven, but that completely disappears when viewing from a distance and gives the piece a more 'weathered' look which I'm sure was the intent. 42" is the perfect height to allow free movement over the flowers and bushes around where we placed it. A windy storm came through and the balancing arm stayed solidly in place. Our "cardinals buddy" been up about a week - our neighbors have already told us how much they like it and asked where we purchased it.
