This is NOT a wimpy windsock. It's 60" long and stands out. Well constructed with stitched ends on the tassels. If you live in an extremely windy area along with full afternoon sun and on the water, yes, the ends do tangle towards the end of the season. The UV rays will weaken the materials and the ends fray. I usually buy a fresh one every season, but most people not living by water getting a double dose of harsh refracted light and wind wont have to.
