As usual, Amazon delivered on time and I found this item to be packaged properly but not prone to being easily damaged in transit to begin with. This is likely a safe item to send as a gift if you feel apprehensive about your gift arriving in fit shape, if not in fancy packaging.

I bought this item when it was on sale, as my kids thought the ladybug would be something nice to look at and it certainly doesn't look like a typical windsock, for certain. The bee has an opalescence to the wings and the body of the ladybug is filled out to give a modest three dimensional puffy appearance. The antennae are perky and the flowers droop a bit while the bee takes on a very notable well defined costarring role. It reminds me a bit of some of those cute toys you buy for babies but it's charm makes it more whimsical than childish.

Performance so far has been absolutely stellar. It has survived an intense round with "Super Storm" Sandy (when I wasn't able to climb the ladder to get the wind twister down before Sandy arrived) and a variety of other formidable weather challenges. Combined with a deep hook, you can expect this to stay in place through just about anything, flying sideways when the wind is very fierce. The spinner attachment at the top makes a big difference in performance over a windsock that ties with some sort of string or cording, allowing it not to become tangled and able to distribute the forces of heavy winds. I have found it also seems to be holding it's colors and fabric integrity very well after a summer, fall and winter of use.

I can't complain at all about this product and if this particular wind twister doesn't appeal to you, I suspect other Toland wind twisters of similar make will perform as well.
