The 5 inch wheel turns with the slightest breeze. The wheel has lubricant impregnated OILON Bearings, the top pivot turns on a brass bushing.The scale is close to G scale and also works with 027 model railroads. Or can go on a mantel, shelf or be used as part of a model diorama, table center piece or display.Can be mounted outside on a porch or deck rail, planter, window frame, in a rock garden or even on a rural mailbox.This is the Fairbury tail model - modeled after the Fairbury Iron Works and Wind Mill Company, later the Fairbury Windmill Company, of Fairbury, Nebraska. There are 12 other designs available. Comes as a kit in a 15X6X2 inch box. The kit includes full sized instructions.
