Product Description
For sale is ONE Kinetic Wind Sculpture Lucky 8 Twirler. The entire wind sculpture including the pole and its fixture is made of pure copper with brass hardware. The only metal is the stainless steel ball bearings that are completely covered by brass hardware. Two ball bearings separately located at the top and bottom of the spinner make the entire structure move with a slightest breeze. The pole is made of heavy guage copper and secured into the ground by an all copper 4-point anchoring system. With its heavy duty construction, this kinetic sculpture can withstand strong winds. The wind catchers and arms are not coated and will age naturally. If you want to preserve its original copper shine, you may spray a layer of clear coat on it. We have had great sucess with clear coats made by Rust-Oleum and Permalac (Peacock Labs). The craftsmanship on this wind sculpture is impeccable. It is finely balanced and maintenance free. The sculpture is entirely weather proof and made to last for decades. We proudly back this beautiful kinetic wind sculpture with lifetime warranty.Size: The entire sculputre (above ground portion) is about 6 ft tall. The head is 24" x 24".Kinetic Copper Wind Sculpture - Lucky 8 Twirler Review
This is a masterpiece of art and engineering from stanwoodimports (. com ) where only the sturdiest copper tubing is used (thicker than copper pipes used in homes) and bright shiny cups catch the wind and as it spins at one point a figure 8 can be perceived although I think of it as a double helix either way it's a glorious work of art that will fascinate all who see it spin. Even in a calm when there is no wind the Lucky 8 Twirler is a beautiful sculpture worthy of a permanent place in a museum as an example of fine art kinetic sculpture.I bought cheap $100 wind spinners before and they broke or didn't spin. I've seen $1,000 to $2,000 wind spinners that are not as well engineered or designed nor do these other overpriced ones come with a phone number for personal assistance from the designer at Stanwood Imports to help you with any trouble you my have or advice you need.
This Stanwood Imports spinner is priced just right to get quality and long life in a exceptionally well engineered product that used bearings to insure the parts move without too much friction. I have this and four other Stanwood kinetic wind sculptures in my yard and it is a joy when the wind blows. I have already thrown away two cheap ones from other vendors and have others to give away because they don't work, but all my Standwood kenetic wind sculptures remain my pride and joy when I look outside and see them perform so satisfyingly. I am proud to own them especially this Lucky 8 Twirler although the Quaking Aspen amazes me too along with my double wind mill, willow leaves and other gleaming Stanwood creations.
I put Rust-Olem enamel clear coat spray on them to keep them gleaming in the sun but if left unprotected they will darken with a copper patina if that's your preference. My is certainly the bright shining metal which makes me happy whenever I glance at them through the window. I found out Stanwood Imports doesn't charge tax except for items shipped to California so I save money on taxes by ordering directly.
