We have had some good wind the past few days but it won't spin. It does spin if you purposely move it and the "impeller" seems to be balanced. It must be something in the design that makes it not spin (blade angle, too heavy or poorly designed/ manufactured) The"head" also does not twist to face into the wind,it's stationary. So I would think that unless the wind always comes from the same direction you not get much/any movement from the impeller.

It's a good looking item, but just does not function as a wind spinner.
