I was absolutely delighted once I hung my Dragonfly Wind Twister on the covered porch in front of the horse barn and watched in amusement as it went spinning in the breeze. I couldn't help but smile as I enjoyed the rhythmic twisting colors and shapes of my fabulous Dragonfly Wind Twister.

I live in on a ranch in rural Central Florida in the picturesque area known as Hill Country. This unique location in Florida is abundant with rolling hills and swift winds. I have installed numerous Wind Chimes and Wind Socks on the eaves of all the buildings on my property to take advantage of the tireless winds that blow through.

I spend a great deal of time outdoors on the ranch which is greatly enhanced by the sounds of the ringing chimes and the images of colors and shapes twisting in the wind. It's no wonder that I am always on the lookout for new Wind Chimes and Wind Socks to add to my collection.

I recently experienced some ongoing "issues" with the performance of my Wind Socks. Being subject to strong winds that frequently change direction, the Wind Socks get tangled-up by the 3 to 4 support lines that are typically used to suspend the fabric Wind Sock from a metal hanging fastner. I found myself constantly un-tangling the Wind Socks and eventually replaced the suspension lines in hopes that would solve the problem. It did not ... how frustrating.

After a great deal of thought I realized that it was the design of the Wind Sock itself that was the problem. With multiple lines used to suspend the Wind Sock I would always have the issue of the lines getting tangled-up. Then I remembered seeing something similar to a Wind Sock at my friend's ranch that seemed to just freely spin in the wind and never got tangled-up. Not even sure what that item would be called, I just searched for Wind Socks online at Amazon.com and hoped for the best.

I searched through several pages before I finally came across the Dragonfly Wind Twister by Toland Home Garden. It was configured differently than a wind sock and I could tell that it would be perfect for my situation and purchased the Dragonfly Wind Twister right away. Thankfully, once I had received and hung my Dragonfly Wind Twister I was delighted that the product actually exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and performance.

The Dragonfly Wind Twister has a single, wider line attachment with rotating metal fastners which is a much more durable solution that also eliminates the problem of multi-line attachment "tangle-up". The overall spiral design of the Dragonfly Wind Twister is engineered to deflect the wind as it passes by creating a freely spinning and twisting movement to the product. Because the Dragonfly Wind Twister is made of high quality outdoor fabric and uses sturdy rotating metal fastners this product will last a long time without being degraded by the outdoor elements.

Unfortunately, I have found that there is a much smaller selection of the Wind Twister and Wind Spinner products available when compared to the abundant selection of the more commonly found Wind Sock products.
